About me

About

My Story.
 My Mission.

I’m 51 and I love my body!

I used to be a professional ballet dancer but left that world behind after the director sat me down one day and told me I looked like a pudding (see story here). So I know what it’s like to feel crap about myself; to feel my only solution is sticking my finger down my throat, smoking instead of eating, or starving myself.

Over the years I’ve learnt some great tricks for staying healthy and lean as I get older and I’ve passed these on to clients who’ve had success too. It is possible to achieve your goals without punishing yourself or over-exercising, and without foregoing wine, all things potato, and the odd piece of cheesecake. We’ll do it without climbing on that bloody diet wagon. We’ll do it so you enjoy vibrant health and outstanding energy, and so you NEVER have to worry about your weight again.

Why Trust Me?

After swopping my pointe shoes for trainers, I moved into fitness, nutrition, lifestyle management, and soft tissue therapy. Over the past 28 years I’ve done a bunch of stuff, including being involved in designing, writing and lecturing on educational material for service providers in the South African fitness industry, and serving on the SA fitness industry standards generating board. I also enjoyed being featured in, and contributing articles to, national health and fitness magazines like Men’s Health, Cosmopolitan, Marie-Claire and Shape (serving on the latter’s advisory board), as well as for newspaper publications.

In the 90s I co-founded SA’s first licensing body for fitness practitioners and in 2002, wrote two books: Be Your Own Personal Trainer and Stretch Routines, published by New Holland. In addition to my focus on private clients, I’ve worked with corporate clients like VWSA, Nelson Mandela University Business School, Old Mutual, SAB, Investec, Nestlé, and Riverstone, UK. I’ve also collaborated with schools, helping youngsters develop their sense of self-worth. I currently run a practice in London, and online, offering wellbeing services for women looking to improve their health through exercise, nutrition and mindset change.
